IFU:

1. Fractured Screw Removal

  1. Select the Correct Guide

    • Choose a drill guide that matches the implant platform/connection.
    • Secure it onto the implant using the corresponding guide holder.
  2. Engage the Remover Drill

    • Place the remover drill through the guide and run it in counterclockwise mode at a low speed (under 25 RPM).
    • If the fractured screw does not loosen or come out, proceed to the next step.
  3. Create a Divot (If Needed)

    • Use the black reverse drill to form a small divot at the top of the broken screw.
    • Run the handpiece in reverse at 800–1200 RPM with irrigation to minimize heat buildup.
  4. Use the Tap Drill

    • Once the divot is formed, remove the prosthetic guide and switch to a tap drill.
    • Run the tap drill counterclockwise at under 80 RPM to latch onto and extract the fractured screw.

2. Implant Fixture Removal

  1. Choose the Appropriate Remover Tool

    • Select the fixture remover sized for the specific implant diameter or connection style.
    • Press it firmly onto the implant until it fully seats.
  2. Engage & Loosen the Implant

    • Turn the remover tool counterclockwise at a slow speed (under 50 RPM) if using a handpiece.
    • Alternatively, use a manual adapter or torque ratchet for controlled extraction.
    • Continue until the failed implant is released from the bone.

Key Points & Tips

  • Bone & Tissue Preservation: This technique avoids trephine usage, reducing trauma and preserving more bone for future procedures.
  • Immediate Re-Implantation: In many cases, a new implant can be placed in the same site following minimal debridement.
  • Universal Compatibility: The GP-SR0188 Kit is suitable for a variety of implant systems (external hex, internal hex, conical, etc.).
  • Sterilization: The kit’s polymer box and instruments are autoclavable up to 134°C, ensuring proper infection control.
  • Patient Comfort: Minimally invasive removal translates to faster healing and reduced post-operative discomfort.

I have been using GP implants for my last 50 cases and results are same, if not better than the other implants I have in my office. Fantastic for immediates due to the design. I am now a loyal user!

The best dental implants.
I met the company by chance a few years ago. I have discovered an excellent company with great precision in production. Staff prepared and available. Great product. Thank you.

EXCELLENT PRODUCTS, GP implants have had an increase in my dental practice due to the fact that they all have been very successful. GP implants are trustworthy and have a good price. I have been working with GP implants for the past 7 years and we have placed at least 500 implants up to this day. I highly recommend them.

Craig D. Schmidtke, DDS

The SSI Implant by GP is an excellent choice for clinical cases with complications related to anatomy. It is so easy and safe to load the implant, and it gives impeccable results post-operatively, with respect to osseointegration. I was simply amazed when I saw the X-ray where the bone was strongly integrating with the implant surface
